On Wealth

I caught myself on your ear
Listening to the sound of the wind
Your I and my I embraced
Afterwards, I took my seat on your eye
I have watched the sun rise
Countless times
But today, I saw it for the first time.

  1. “Your I and my I embraced….”

I LOVE that line …. and the ending “I have watched the sun rise / Countless times / But today, I saw it for the first time”

this is lovely … complete love, complete unity … 🙂

  2. First Sunrise

Caressing the brown fields of wheat
As summer’s horizon beheld autumn’s clouds,
    The whispering wind carried
The incense of a far away temple
And melted, at dusk, the day’s final sounds
Into a warm atmosphere, transfigured in peace.

There, lost in the warm breath,
The fingers of two hands touched
    And heaven’s opening curtain revealed
    A seat unsheathed from light
And bathing in a deeper light,
A thrown of stars decked by nocturnal clouds
    Billowing on musical strings unseen,
And seat and thrown witnessing, recognizing –
    Love’s divine ascent.
