The Ageless Song

Birds in flight, sealing
Love; an endless eulogy
Of fallen leaves, this…

  1. Exodus of leaves,
Waves on shores, falling to deeps —
    Love in motion, this…

The images you post are breathtaking. I wonder how you find them.

For some reason, I am reminded of this aphorism by Gibran:

I AM FOREVER walking upon these shores,
Betwixt the sand and the foam,
The high tide will erase my foot-prints,
And the wind will blow away the foam.
But the sea and the shore will remain

The beauty of this wine that is slowly fermenting, getting warmer and brighter within. This sun that is slowly emerging amid your lips and mine. This kiss that drips fiery droplets upon the papers of heart which, driven mad, are burned and consumed into ashes of flawless letters — letters that can be read only when eyes gaze into eyes, when one heart beats upon another heart. Oh the magic of poetry! Of that life force of love and beauty that lies behind poetry, that is poetry stripped naked at its core (if that were possible).

I take infinite pleasure in every instant of this spontaneous ‘communicating.’

  2. This poem flirts w/philosophy. Birds as a eulogy of fallen leaves is a very interesting arrangement of words. I understand the image of birds yet the substance of that line gets me very pensive. It’s a beautiful line.
